o/ one week down, 5 to go.
so, keeping up with the 6 Week Body Makeover... thing that i'm doing to get myself jumpstarted into losing weight...

in other news
so, in other news, i haven't told y'all what i'm doing about my weight in a while. by which, i'm really saying that i haven't talked about losing weight lately, have i?

anyway.

so, a few months ago, my mom saw this thing called the 6 Week Body MakeoverCollapse ).

so. she got the program, we've looked it over and started buying the food so that we can get on the right track. we started on tuesday after weighing in monday evening. and it's been less than a week, but here's what's happened thus far:

yeah. 10 lbs down, without the exercise. *does a dance*

and you know what's messed up? i'm eating 5 or 6 times a day, and i'm not hungry. ok, i'll admit, i kinda get the shakes every now and again because i'll have breakfast and elevenses and lunch, but then i'll have class and can't have after-school snack because dinner happens at 6ish. so stuff's getting smushed together weird.

also messed up? i'm not exercising like i should be doing. i'm doing a lot of walking right now that i wasn't back when i was driving more often (ugh, catching TARC SUCKS SO BAD), which is a good thing. but i'm really more interested in working on the lack of muscle tone i have underneath this cushy exterior. muscles burn more calories, right? gad, i need to be back at ups for this week or something. serious.


so. WHEE. maybe the next time y'all see me? i'll be half the girl i used to be. :)

[heh. pictures may follow, once i notice a real difference that isn't "hey, i can't see my stomach over my boobs like i used to!"]

hey people!

i know it's not the best update... but it's a quick one while i'm still thinking about it!

i weighed this morning---304 pounds. down 3 from last Friday, which makes me happy. so far, i haven't done a single thing according to plan. *shakes head* it's been a cold and wintry week, with that evil evil visitor (Aunt Flo?), then my brother being sick (i know, excuses...)...

anyway, i don't have a measuring tape with me, but i'll measure when i get home. for all intents and purposes, i'm going to go swimming tonight for about an hour. hopefully.

also, i think i've been accepted at UPS, so i'll be hustling boxes at 4 in the morning... *dies* maybe this wasn't such a good idea, huh?

so... at the moment, i'm not doing too badly, thanks. i'm still on
sparkpeople.com (ambrosia18, if you go looking for me...), and i've finally
moved diet stages. i feel silly because i've been in stage 1 since last
april. yeah... a long time, i know. but now that i've actually decided to
do something, i switched stages and i'm ready and willing and able! yay!

i even feel good about the past two days. now, granted, i ate too many
calories and much too much fat yesterday. but today i was under, so i feel
a little bit better about not being on program entirely yesterday.

also, i did a good thing! i went swimming with my sister on friday night.
i read that swimming will help a breech baby turn around if done during the
last couple of months of pregnancy, so we promised each other we'd go
together 3 times a week: her for the baby, me for the low-impact exercise.
at least i don't feel like a total fattie in the pool. i can actually swim
now... which is a big change from like... a year and a half ago. it makes
me happy.

so, tomorrow, i'm off again. at least 5 days a week doing exercise in the
morning (it'll probably be 3 days a week instead... but you know), and 3
evenings a week swimming. plus bowling most sundays and maybe even working
at UPS... i'll be buff! hahah.


also, on another note, has anyone ever heard of Candida? if you click
a couple of more articles away on Wikipedia, you end up finding out some
about it, but here,
there's more about it. it's basically an infection based on too much yeast
growing in your body... my mum was diagnosed with it by an alternative
doctor, and we've figured out that's why she nearly died of a throat...
thing. basically she had strep throat, and it nearly killed her. an
infection that had been building up for at least 7 years. anyway, we found
out it has a lot to do with the way we eat, and she's had to change over to
a very very restrictive diet...

she's a lot braver and stronger than me. so i can't do the diet she's
doing. not at all. i'm looking into (well, as far as i'm concerned, it's a
fad diet, but still) the Shangri-La diet, which involves 2 tbs of like olive
oil twice daily. i'm also looking into Cream of Tartar (that stuff you use
in sugar cookies) at 1 tbs a day to kill off the candida that i know i'm
suffering from. anyway, i'm gonna be working on that as well as trying to
cut my portions down. for the moment, it's mostly just making sure i eat
breakfast and take my meds (i'm on avandamet for diabetes... it works really
well, i must say), then keep myself at a sandwich and a drink for lunch, and
then eating a small dinner. i know when i get bored, i eat, so i'm working
on keeping myself un-bored. if that makes sense.

anyway, i'm going to be quite busy! i'll keep you up to date as much as
possible! i'll be weighing in and measuring things every friday (if i can
help it), and posting it up here. good luck to you lot. wish me the best!

hello everyone! i'm morghan. you can call me morgue or riyo, as you prefer.

i'm joining up with kim on this weight loss for a cause rip because it is precisely the motivation i need. if i try to lose weight for myself?? never happens. always gets sabotaged.

so.

hi! i'm weighing in today at 307. my measurements are as follows:
waist: 45.6 inches
hips: 49.8 inches
neck: 18.8 inches
upper arm: 19.8 inches.


this year, i'm aiming high and trying to lose up to 150 pounds. my real goal is to get down to a size 14 or less, since i haven't been there since... god... middle school? anyway... any donations for me are going to the American Diabetes Association, because at least half of my family, me included, is affected by diabetes. there's not nearly enough research being done to help cure it...

but. hello! and thanks for tuning in. i'll be updating as i can with my weight loss.
